SmaartCoach ("we", "us") provides an AI fitness and nutrition coach on the web, mobile app, and WhatsApp. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: support@smaartcoach.com.

Information we collect

• Account — name and email when you sign in (Google or email/password), or an anonymous device identifier if you use the app without signing in.
• Fitness & nutrition data — workouts, meal plans, logged foods, weight entries, and goals you enter.
• Photos you submit — meal photos you take or upload for calorie estimation (processed to identify the food; we don't use them to identify you).
• Purchases — subscription status and billing metadata (handled by our payment processors; we never store full card numbers).
• Usage & diagnostics — app interactions and crash reports to improve the product.

How we use it

• To provide the coaching features you request (plans, logging, progress, AI responses).
• To personalize recommendations and remember your preferences.
• To process subscriptions and prevent abuse.
• To fix bugs, measure product performance, and improve the service.

Service providers we share with

We share only what's needed with providers who process data on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication and storage), Stripe and the Apple App Store (payments), Anthropic / OpenAI / Google (AI responses for your requests), and PostHog and Sentry (analytics and crash reporting). On our website we may use the Meta pixel for advertising measurement. We do not sell your personal data.

Your choices & rights

• Access, correct, or delete your data by contacting us or using in-app account controls.
• Sign out or delete your account to stop further collection.
• Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR/LGPD), you may have additional rights; contact us to exercise them.

Retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed for legal and operational purposes, then delete or anonymize it. We use encryption in transit and industry-standard safeguards, though no method is 100% secure.

Children

SmaartCoach is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
